How we helped
Root-cause analysis revealed implementation gaps in the way system was setup. This was further accentuated by the fact that certain business processes were faultily designed – thereby causing strain on the last man in the process chain
It was also established in root-cause analysis that handing over of transactions, for instance dispatch of shipments, between 2 processes (like dispatch planning and inventory packing), resulted in wastage of time in subsequent process.
Recommended changes in the way master data was setup in older instance to accurately reflect the business & operations hierarchy in the ERP (for instance: create Business segments & variables which management uses to monitor the business, factory warehouse & location structure etc.)
Recommended usage & implementation of certain features of ERP that would have eased the strain on the process by eliminating redundancy
Recommended changes in the business processes to bring remove redundancy & to align with usage of the ERP in efficient way
Closely worked with the technology partner to help implement all the changes
Developed business test cases and pass / fail criteria thereof for efficient conduct of UAT
Drove the entire engagement as a Program, covering planning, execution, co-ordination with all stakeholders (including third party technology vendor) and ensuring timeliness.
ERP addressed all business needs, processes, reporting, controls and validations as a result of strong design and implementation
The project was completed in the stringent timelines of go-live for reimplementation.
Impact of this project on regular operations was very minimal due to significant saving in bandwidth of staff
